Durable totes and fun, street style reusable shopping bags have been seen on the fashion runways in recent years. Top designers all over are breaking away from the conventional classics and designing in the direction of fashionable reusable bags. Move over to the classics such as Chanel’s 2.55, Dior’s Lady D and the Hermés Birkin – the tote and the reusable shopping bag style continues to trend and has never looked more chic!

Jil Sander’s ‘A Shopping Bag Collection‘ transformed the idea that it-bag’s had to be made of leather, and had to come in a classic, or even a structured style. The designer’s vision paved the way for other “anti-bags”, and instantly became the cool it-bag of the moment!

The Extra Large (XXL) Shopping/Tote Bags

Even before Jil Sander’s shopping bag series, Louis Vuitton made the common chequered shopping bag the star of its Paris runway show. This limited edition series carried the Louis Vuitton stamp and made carrying environmentally friendly shopping bags a stylish affair! Similarly, the Extra-Large Arena bag by Balenciaga was probably one of the most talked of bags of last year; because its style resembled that of Ikea’s iconic Frakta ‘blue’ bag (a sustainable bag aimed at reducing plastic waste). And finally, Spring 2018’s hottest trend across various fashion labels such as Céline, Burberry,
